Culture , Nature and Active Volcano tour w/Barong and Kris dance show
After breakfast, your tour will begin with an experience of unique culture: you will see the Barong and Keris performance at Batubulan, a hypnotic dance that brings to life the conflict between good and evil. Continue to the villages of Celuk, Mas and the gold mine of Ubud, all providing a craft to reflect Bali’s colourful, deeply spiritual and diverse nation.
From here, you will travel through remote villages, mountains and rice terraces found in Tegalalang. With Balinese workers ploughing the rice fields, this is a place redolent of an older Bali. Do not forget your camera or sketch book! Your journey also takes you to the water temple Gunung Kawi in Sebatu.
Cool down in the bathing area, where you will see Balinese villagers splashing about in the turquoise water from an upper pool, cascading down through the mouths of Barongs. At the mountainous Kintamani village, see the deep crater below Mount Batur.
The size of the crater conjures up images of the eruption by the original mountain. On your return, you will stop off at the indigenous Penglipuran Village, the name translates as “relaxation”. Since the days of the kingdom, the village has become a sacred resting place. Each dainty house is built in traditional Balinese style where the angkul-angkul, “gate”, is a place of worship.
You will catch glimpses of local life unwinding upon the cobbled streets, with Balinese mingling with neighbours or cock fighting, “Tajen”. Return to hotel for an overnight stay
